Photos from inside the house were not permitted, since the place still belongs to some aged and obscure British lord, who no longer visits. But the view from his "gardens" was pleasant.
This is the actual summit of the peak known as Kentuck Knob. I wanted to claim it on my peakbagger's site, which prompted the springtime visit to this place.
From the outside the house doesn't look for much--sort of like a stone ark.

The grounds down by the gate were well kept and pleasant, even if the upper gardens, closer to the house, had a distinct air of neglect.

This curious structure was among the so-called "sculptures" in the sculpture garden.
