Wow, what an amazing shot of an early homestead. That fireplace is impressive. I would gladly live out the rest of my days a quiet man in a hewn log house and here one sits unwanted, abandoned and partially submerged. Shame.
If you go a little south of the city, the neglect is unbelievable. Some truly spectacular bits of history and beauty just returning to the dust. It doesn't help that a lot of properties have been undermined by Consol Energy. This is on Bristoria Road, entering Ryerson Station State Park from the west.
